Hilton Hotels: Twin Room 228 DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly

DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly is conveniently located from Manchester Piccadilly station. Once you pass the front of the station, it is a simple 1 minute walk by either crossing a set of traffic lights or going via the bridge (saves you waiting for the green man). I am also a Hilton Honors Gold member which means I get a tiny bit more points on stays. For these two reasons, this is my preferred hotel when in Manchester.

When booking for this trip I originally booked the Mal Maison next door as the room rate for this hotel was in excess of 350 GBP per night. Closer to my dates, it dropped down to an acceptable level – it hovers around 90-100 GBP if you book far enough. The hotel was sold out completely so there was no complimentary upgrade for Hilton Honors Gold members this night which meant I had a chance to try a twin room.

The hotel is adequate for a one night stay in my opinion. The room was a bit small but that does not really matter if you are going to be out and about for most of your stay.

Below are some pictures of dinner / room service. I ordered the hotel’s club sandwich and their Store Street burger.

Have you stayed at this hotel before? if so, what was your impressions on service and the room? Leave your comments below.
